HomeMy WebLinkAbout2004-08-24 - AGENDA REPORTS - SUMMARY VACATE SEWER EASEMENT (2)Agenda Item: — I& CITY OF SANTA CLARITA AGENDA REPORT CONSENT CALENDAR City Manager Approval: Item to be presented by: Chistopher Price DATE: August 24, 2004 SUBJECT: SUMMARY VACATION OF A SEWER EASEMENT ON LOT 4 OF TRACT MAP NO. 52673-03 AND A STORM DRAIN EASEMENT ON LOT 2 OF PARCEL MAP NO. 23349 DEPARTMENT: Transportation and Engineering Services RECOMMENDED ACTION City Council adopt a resolution for the summary vacation of a sewer easement on Lot 4 of Tract Map No. 52673-03, as shown and described on Exhibits "A" and "B," and of a storm drain easement on Lot 2 of Parcel Map No. 23349, as shown and described on Exhibits "C" and "D"; and direct the City Clerk to record the certified original resolution in the office of the Registrar - Recorder of the County of Los Angeles. BACKGROUND W9 Rye South Realty, LLC has requested to vacate a portion of an existing sewer easement on Lot 4 of Tract Map No. 52673-03 at the Wal-Mart site near the intersection of Newhall Ranch Road and Copper Hill Drive, as shown on and dedicated by said map filed in Book 128, pages 6 to 25, inclusive of maps. This portion of the sewer easement is no longer needed and is considered an excess easement. Newhall Land has requested to vacate a portion of an existing storm drain easement on Lot 2 of Parcel Map No. 23349, near the intersection of Magic Mountain Parkway and Tourney Road, as shown on and dedicated by said map filed in Book 264, pages I to 12, inclusive of maps. A portion of the storm drain has been relocated and this easement is no longer needed and is considered an excess easement.
