City Council accept the work performed by Oakridge Landscape, Inc. on the Valley-Calgrove Beautification Project Number P2005. 2. Direct the City Clerk to file the attached Notice of Completion. 3. Direct staff to release the 10% retention of $7,379.28 from account number P2005-001-8001, 35 days after Notice of Completion is recorded, provided no stop notices, as provided by law, have been filed. BACKGROUND On August 27, 2002, the City Council approved the completion of the Valley-Calgrove Street closure project, and established account number P2005-001-8001 for the projects remaining funding. City Council then directed Parks, Recreation, and Community Services staff to identify improvements for the gate enclosed area. The completed improvements are consistent with input received from community meetings held in 2003. These improvements included beautifying the corridor with trees, shrubs, irrigation, mulch, and a walking path. In addition, lodge pole fencing was installed around the existing oak trees. On May 11, 2004, City Council awarded the construction of the Valley-Calgrove Beautification Proi . ect to Oakridge Landscape, Inc. Project construction was completed on August 16, 2004, and the contractor's 90 -day maintenance period ended on November 14, 2004. ALTERNATIVE ACTIONS No alternative action identified by staff.
