ITEM 1 CODE ENFORCEMENT - Last year, the City's Code Enforcement
section met with City Council in a Study Session to review the current
policies, procedures, successes, and challenges that Code Enforcement is
experiencing while processing cases for substandard properties. Staff has
identified areas where changes to the Municipal Code would facilitate the
enforcement process.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Receive a follow up presentation regarding
the City's Code Enforcement program with recommended revisions to the
Municipal Code to better facilitate the code enforcement process and to
direct staff to prepare the final draft ordinance for adoption.
ITEM 2 SHOP SANTA CLARITA CAMPAIGN — The 50 square mile City of
Santa Clarita is located within the larger Santa Clarita Valley. Although
area residents refer to the various communities (Saugus, Newhall,
Valencia, Canyon Country, Stevenson Ranch, Castaic, Agua Dulce, etc.)
as "Santa Clarita," many still do not know where the City Boundaries are
actually located.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Provide direction on the proposed Shop
