Century Room, 1st Floor, City Hall 23920 Valencia Blvd. Santa Clarita, CA 91355 AGENDA *Study Sessions are for the purpose of allowing the City Council and staff to formally discuss and better understand major issues currently before the Cii CALL TO ORDER ROLL CALL FLAG SALUTE PUBLIC PARTICIPATION ITEM 1 CODE ENFORCEMENT - Last year, the City's Code Enforcement section met with City Council in a Study Session to review the current policies, procedures, successes, and challenges that Code Enforcement is experiencing while processing cases for substandard properties. Staff has identified areas where changes to the Municipal Code would facilitate the enforcement process. RECOMMENDED ACTION: Receive a follow up presentation regarding the City's Code Enforcement program with recommended revisions to the Municipal Code to better facilitate the code enforcement process and to direct staff to prepare the final draft ordinance for adoption. ITEM 2 SHOP SANTA CLARITA CAMPAIGN — The 50 square mile City of Santa Clarita is located within the larger Santa Clarita Valley. Although area residents refer to the various communities (Saugus, Newhall, Valencia, Canyon Country, Stevenson Ranch, Castaic, Agua Dulce, etc.) as "Santa Clarita," many still do not know where the City Boundaries are actually located. RECOMMENDED ACTION: Provide direction on the proposed Shop Santa Clarita campaign.
