CALL TO ORDER 5:30 p.m.
ROLL CALL All councilmembers were present.
ITEM 1 MIXED USE PROJECTS - Ken Pulskamp, City Manager introduced
the item and Vince Bertoni, Interim Director of Planning and Building
Services, who gave a presentation that included mixed use projects from
outside the Los Angeles area and across the nation.
Council questions, concerns and comments included: time frame of
a project; planning for young as well as seniors; mixed use projects better
for future; and no down side to mixed use projects.
PUBLIC No requests to speak were received on this item.
PARTICIPATION
ITEM 2 PLACERITA CANYON SEWER PROJECT — APPROVAL OF THE
ALIGNMENT AND CONSTRUCTION AGREEMENT WITH THE
MASTERS COLLEGE, AND AUTHORIZATION TO ADVERTISE
FOR BIDS - Ken Pulskamp, City Manager, introduced the item and
Assistant City Engineer Curtis Nay, who gave the presentation.
Council questions, concerns and comments included: concerns that
public is not present; perception being reality; not wanting to take action
at the Study Session; direction to put on Council agenda for July 13, 2004
City Council meeting.
