THE 2004 CALIFORNIA ELECTRICAL CODE PUBLISHED BY THE CALIFORNIA
BUILDING STANDARDS COMMISSION WITH LOCAL AMENDMENTS AS TITLE 19 OF

published by the California Building Standards Commission. This ordinance includes local
amendments that set forth administrative provisions for adequate enforcement of the Electrical
Code, and are consistent with enforcement practices used by other jurisdictions in the region and
State.
Under the provisions of this ordinance, the 2004 California Electrical Code with amendments
will become effective August 1, 2005 as directed by the State of California.
