SUBJECT: TRANSFER OF STORM DRAIN MTD NO. 1598-U4 AND PD NO.
1971 TO THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL
DISTRICT

RECOMMENDED ACTION
City Council adopt two resolutions for the transfer and conveyance of Miscellaneous Transfer
Drain (MTD) No. 1598-U4 and Private Drain (PD) No. 1971 to the Los Angeles County Flood
Control District.
BACKGROUND
Miscellaneous Transfer Drain (MTD) No. 1598-U4 (located in the vicinity of Victoria Lane and
Channel Lane) and Private Drain (PD) No. 1971 (located in the vicinity of Seco Canyon Road
and Copper Hill Drive) have been constructed to the 'satisfaction of the Los Angeles County
Flood Control District (LACFCD) and are ready for transfer. County procedures require that
each storm drain transfer request be accompanied by a resolution. The adoption of these
resolutions is requested at this time.
ALTERNATIVE ACTIONS
Other action as determined by the City Council.
FISCAL IMPACT
The City incurs long-term benefits by transferring responsibilities for storm drains to the Los
Angeles County Flood Control District.
