BACKGROUND The Santa Clarita Valley Sanitation District (formerly known as County Sanitation District Nos. 26 and 32) provides wastewater treatment services within the District's service area. To provide wastewater treatment service to property located outside of the District's service area, the boundary must be expanded through the annexation process. As part of this process, a tax -sharing resolution to provide the required funding to the Sanitation District is adopted by the public agency responsible for providing services to the subject property. Local agencies receiving an apportionment of property tax from the annexing area must determine the amount of tax revenues to be exchanged between the affected agencies. For Annexation No. 340, a total of 1.0824127 percent of the annual tax increment attributable to the land area involved in the annexation will be transferred to Santa Clarita Valley Sanitation District (formerly known as County Sanitation District No. 26). Of this total, the City is contributing 0.001116626 percent of its revenues from the annual tax increment for the annexation area. This annexation consists of 19 existing single-family homes and one existing triplex located near the intersection of Siena Highway and Scherzinger Lane in the City of Santa Clarita. FISCAL IMPACT As proposed, the annexation to Santa Clarita Valley Sanitation District (Formerly known as County Sanitation District No. 26) should result in no adverse fiscal impact to the City.
