DOCUMENTS FOR NPDES
City Council approve contract extension to Willdan for an amount not to exceed $100,000 from
Account No. 5720-8001. Authorize the City Manager or designee to execute all documents,
subject to City Attorney approval.
The municipal National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit requires
developers of certain developments/re-developments to prepare engineering documents to
address and restrict potential pollutants from entering the storm drain system, local waterways
and the ocean.
The City's Environmental Services Division contracts with Willdan for plan review of these
engineering documents, the Standard Urban Stormwater Mitigation Plan (SUSMP) and
Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP). Developers pay review fees to offset the costs
of reviewing the documents.
