Century Room, 1 st Floor, City Hall 23920 Valencia Blvd. Santa Clarita, CA 91355 AGENDA *Study Sessions are for the purpose of allowing the City Council and staii to informally discuss and better understand malor issues currendh, hofore dho rihi CALL TO ORDER ROLL CALL FLAG SALUTE ITEM 1 CHLORIDES - The City has been working with the Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts to reduce the concentration of chloride in the Santa Clara River. This effort is due to the Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board's (RWQCB) Chloride Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) for the Santa Clarita River. This TMDL went into effect May 4, 2005. RECOMMENDED ACTION: Receive presentation and provide direction. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION ITEM 2 NEIGHBORHOOD REINVESTMENT PILOT Recently, the City has been approached by residents and businesses in the Downtown Newhall and Canyon Country communities regarding their desire for more proactive property maintenance/aesthetic, housing, and parking enforcement in their neighborhood. In response, Community Preservation initiated implementation of a proactive enforcement program called Neighborhood Reinvestment. RECOMMENDED ACTION: Receive presentation and provide direction.
