A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA CLARITA, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING A NO -STOPPING ZONE
ALONG THE SOUTH SIDE OF GOLDEN TRIANGLE ROAD
WHEREAS, Section 22507 of the Vehicle Code of the State of California provides for
local authorities to prohibit stopping, standing, or parking of vehicles on certain streets or
highways, or portions thereof during certain or all hours of the day; and
WHEREAS, a request was made to establish a no -stopping zone along the south side of
Golden Triangle Road; and
WHEREAS, it is consistent with normal traffic engineering practices to establish a
no -stopping zone along the south side of Golden Triangle Road.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Santa Clarita does hereby resolve as
follows:
SECTION 1. That a no -stopping zone along the south side of Golden Triangle Road,
extending from Centre Pointe Parkway to approximately 150 feet east of Golden Oak Road, a
total length of approximately 800 feet, shall be established.
SECTION 2. That the no -stopping zone shall apply when appropriate signs giving
adequate notice thereof have been placed as described in Section 1.
SECTION 3. That staff shall install the necessary signs to effect this resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 13th day of September, 2005.
