A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA CLARITA, CALIFORNIA, QUITCLAIMING A PORTION
OF A SLOPE EASEMENT ALONG LYONS AVENUE,
IN THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA
WHEREAS, an easement for slope purposes was dedicated to the County of Los Angeles
in 1967; and
WHEREAS, this slope easement is no longer needed and is a condition of the
Summerhill Villa Development to vacate this easement.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Santa Clarita, California, does
hereby resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. That it is hereby found and determined that the portion of slope easement,
as described on Exhibit "A," and shown on Exhibit "B," attached hereto and incorporated herein
by this reference, which real property located in the City of Santa Clarita, County of Los
Angeles, State of California, is no longer needed for present or prospective use.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk of the City of Santa Clarita is instructed to record the
certified original resolution in the office of the Registrar -Recorder of the County of Los Angeles.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 22nd day of March, 2005.

EXHIBIT "A"
A portion of a variable width easement for slope purposes lying across that portion of Lot
3 in Section 4, Township 3 North, Range 16 West, San Bernardino Meridian, in the City
of Santa Clarita, County of Los Angeles, State of California, according to the Official
Plat of said land filed in the District Land Office on March 18, 1876, described as
follows;
Beginning at the intersection of the north line of said Section 4 with the easterly line of
the land described in deed to Stewart W. Randall and wife, recorded November 27, 1956
as Instrument No. 1728, in Book 52952, page 25 of Official Records of said County, said.
easterly line bears North 0° 07' 15" East;
thence, along said easterly line South 0° 07' 15" West 128.96 feet to the northerly, line of
land described in deed to Lewis W. Rampke and wife , recorded November 20, 1956 as
Instrument No. 2392, in Book 52901, page 225 of Official Records of said County;
thence, continuing along a southerly prolongation of said easterly line South 0° 07' 15"
West 156.71 feet, more or less, to the northerly right of way line of Lyons Avenue,
100.00 foot wide as described in road deed recorded November 28, 1967 as Instrument
No. 2625, Official Records of said County, said point being the TRITE POINT OF
BEGINNING;
thence, along last said southerly prolongation North 00 07' 15" East 11.04 feet; .
thence, leaving last said line North 870 04' 46" East 57.89 feet;
thence, North 53° 45' 58" East 38.48 feet,
thence, North 62° 50' 04" East 10.24 feet to a point on the easterly line of said land
described in deed to Lewis W. Rampke and wife;
thence, along said easterly line South 01 07' 15" West 21.18 feet to northerly right of way
line of said Lyons Avenue;
thence, along said northerly right of way line South 78° 20' 00" West 100.01 feet, more
or less, to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING.
