SUBJECT: CITY HALL ROOF REPLACEMENT, PROJECT NO. M1003 -
PROJECT ACCEPTANCE
DEPARTMENT: Public Works
RECOMMENDED ACTION
City Council approve and accept the completion of the City Hall Roof Replacement, Project
No. M1003; direct the City Clerk to file the attached Notice of Completion with the County
Recorder; and direct staff to release the 10 percent retention 35 days after the Notice of
Completion is recorded, provided no stop notices, as provided by law, have been filed.
BACKGROUND
On Wednesday, December 7, 2005, the City's Purchasing Division received six bids to replace
the roof on the City Hall building. On January 10, 2006, the project was awarded to the low
bidder, Rey -Crest Roofing and Waterproofing Company. All work has been completed and
inspected to the satisfaction of City staff.
ALTERNATIVE ACTIONS
Other action as determined by the City Council.
FISCAL IMPACT
The project was completed within the allocated budget of $385,480.00. Account No. M1003001
was used to track all construction expenditures.
