FILLMORE AND WESTERN RAILWAY
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Clarita finds it beneficial to enhance
transportation accessibility for tourism purposes to residents and visitors of the City of Santa
Clarita and adjacent areas.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Clarita believes in providing visitors
and residents with historical information about the Santa Clarita Valley and surrounding areas to

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Clarita encourages tourism within the

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Clarita deems it appropriate to
investigate the extension of the Santa Paula Branch Line railroad tracks to bridge the gap
between the Santa Clarita Valley and the City of Fillmore to increase the tourism usage of the

miles of railroad track depending on the final route.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Clarita is aware there is currently a

follows:

Santa Paula will pursue opportunities to investigate the extension of the Santa Paula Branch Line
