BACKGROUND The Santa Clarita Valley Sanitation District (formerly known as County Sanitation District Nos. 26 and 32) provides wastewater treatment services within the District's service area. To provide wastewater treatment service to property located outside of the District's service area, the boundary must be expanded through the annexation process. As part of this process, a tax -sharing resolution to provide the required funding to the Sanitation District is adopted by the public agency responsible for providing services to the subject property. Local agencies receiving an apportionment of property tax from the annexing area must determine the amount of tax revenues to be exchanged between the affected agencies. For Annexation No. 1017, a total of 1.0249319 percent of the annual tax increment attributable to the land area involved in the annexation will be transferred to the Santa Clarita Valley Sanitation District. Of this total, the City is contributing 0.001038097 percent of its revenues from the annual tax increment for the annexation area. This annexation consists of a proposed maintenance and transportation facility owned by Sulphur Springs School District located at 27000 Weyerhaeuser Way in the City of Santa Clarita.
