APPROVE CONTRACT RENEWAL TO CLEANSTREET FOR
CITYWIDE STREET SWEEPING SERVICES

RECOMMENDED ACTION
1. City Council approve renewal of contract to C1eanStreet for an amount not to exceed
$732,500 for Fiscal Year 2008-2009 from Account 14600-5141.003.
2. Authorize the City Manager or designee to execute all documents, subject to City Attorney
approval.
BACKGROUND
In May 2005, the City sent out a notice inviting bids for Citywide street sweeping services. The
City Council awarded the contract for Citywide street sweeping services to C1eanStreet on July
14, 2005. The contract requires C1eanStreet to sweep the streets weekly in the fall and every
other week during the rest of the year. If approved,by the City Council, this renewal will not
exceed $732,500 and will extend the term of the contract through June 30, 2009.

FISCAL IMPACT
Funds for this expenditure are included in the Fiscal Year 2008-2009 budget submittal in
Account 14600-5141.003.
