For approximately 17 years, the City of Santa Clarita has provided funds for community
organizations through the Community Services Grant Program. Each year, a Community
Services Grant Committee is assembled to determine funding categories, review and rate
applications, and make final funding recommendations. This year's grant selection committee
included Mayor Bob Kellar, Councilmember Laurene Weste, Ken Striplin, Adele Macpherson,
Phil'Lantis, Carmen Magana, and Terasa Sullivan. In the past, funding has been used to provide
programs in the Arts, Violence Prevention, Drug and Alcohol Prevention, and Educational
programs addressing the Environment, Traffic, Tolerance, and Wellness.

• Community Benefit
• Cultural Arts

breakdown per category is as follows:
• Community Benefit: 20 applications, totaling $141,428.80
• Cultural Arts: 9 applications, totaling $57,545.99
