A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA CLARITA, CALIFORNIA, REQUESTING RENEWAL OF
THE GENERAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY OF
LOS ANGELES FOR MISCELLANEOUS SERVICES
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Clarita and the County of Los Angeles, by and through
their respective legislative bodies on date July 1, 2008, entered into an agreement whereby the
County of Los Angeles agreed to provide miscellaneous services, including predatory animal
control, prosecution of City ordinances, direct assessment collection, and a variety of public
works activities with the City of Santa Clarita; and
WHEREAS, the existing General Services Agreement between the City of Santa Clarita
and the County of Los Angeles will expire on June 30, 2008, unless the City Council, by
resolution adopted prior to June 30, 2008, requests the Board of Supervisors to renew said
agreement and said Board of Supervisors agrees to renew said agreement; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Clarita states its intent and desire to
renew said agreement for an additional five-year term.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Santa Clanta does hereby resolve
as follows:
SECTION 1. The Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles be requested to
renew the certain agreement entitled "General Services Agreement" heretofore made and entered
into between the City of Santa Clarita and the County of Los Angeles, effective July 1, 2008.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 13th day of May, 2008.
