City Council Study Session
June 1, 2010
Call to Order: 5:30 p.m.
Roll Call All Councilmembers were present.
Flag Salute: Councilmember Ferry led the flag salute.
ITEM 1 OPEN SPACE UPDATE — Assistant City Manager Ken Striplin made opening
comments regarding the item and introduced Rick Gould, Director of Parks,
Recreation and Community Services, who presented a detailed update on open space
including acquisitions to date, negotiations in progress, and the various activities of
the Open Space Preservation District.
Council questions, concerns and comments included: inquiry regarding the usage of
the open space; and the current level of investment.
No public comment was made.
Mayor Weste adjourned the meeting at 6:11
