A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA CLARITA, CALIFORNIA, SUMMARILY VACATING AN EASEMENT
DEDICATED TO THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA FOR SANITARY SEWER PURPOSES
ON LOT 15 OF THE ST. JOHN'S SUBDIVISION RECORDED IN MISCELLANEOUS
RECORDS BOOK 196, PAGES 304-309 IN THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA
WHEREAS, the easement being summarily vacated is unnecessary as the easement has
been superseded by relocation and there are no other public facilities located within the
easement. This easement was intended exclusively for the sanitary sewer and for no other
purpose; and
WHEREAS, under Chapter 4, Summary Vacation of Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets
and Highways Code of the State of California, no public hearing is required and no public
hearing was held.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Santa Clarita does hereby resolve
as follows: pursuant to the provisions of Section 8334 of Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California, the City Council of the City of Santa Clarita,
California, does resolve, declare, determine, and order as follows:
SECTION 1. That it is hereby found and determined that the portion of sanitary sewer,
appurtenant structures, and ingress and egress easement, as described in Exhibit "A" and shown
on Exhibit `B" attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference, which real property
located in the City of Santa Clarita, County of Los Angeles, State of California, is no longer
needed for present or prospective use based on the fact that a proposed, reconfigured sanitary
sewer easement makes a portion of the existing sanitary sewer easement unnecessary.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk of the City of Santa Clarita is instructed to record the
certified original resolution in the office of the Registrar -Recorder of the County of Los Angeles,
at which time the easement summarily vacated will no longer be a public service easement.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
