L-90) DEPARTMENT: Administrative Services RECOMMENDED ACTION City Council continue the public hearing to June 28, 2011, to allow the 45 -day notice period to expire for parcels under consideration in this annexation. BACKGROUND The City Council set the public hearing date of June 14, 2011, for nine parcels to be annexed into the City's Streetlight Maintenance District at its regular meeting on April 26, 2011. Willdan Financial Services, the City's Assessment Engineer, completed mailing the ballots on May 12, 2011; therefore, the public hearing date should be continued to June 28, 2011, to meet the 45 -day noticing requirement. ALTERNATIVE ACTION Other direction as determined by City Council. FISCAL IMPACT No fiscal impact would result from the recommended action. ATTACHMENT None. CITY OF SANTA CLARITA NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: A Public Hearing will be held before the City Council of the City of Santa Clarita in the City Hall Council Chambers, 23920 Valencia Boulevard, first floor, Santa Clarita, California, on the 14th day of June 2011, at or after 6:00 p.m., to consider annexation of nine parcels into City Streetlight Maintenance District No. 1, as described in the Assessment Engineer's Report and pursuant to the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972, being a division of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California. Proponents, opponents, and any interested persons may appear and be heard on this matter at that time.
