All Councilmembers were present.
All Commissioners were present.
All Commissioners were present, with the
exception of Chair Halliday.
Arts Commission: All Commissioners were present with the
exception of Commissioner Dow.
Flag Salute: Assistant City Manager Ken Striplin led the
flag salute.
ITEM 1 FISCAL YEAR 2012-2013 BUDGET — Ken Pulskamp, City Manager, outlined the
proposed budget and the City's fiscal status and outlook.
Council / Planning Commission / Parks, Recreation and Community Services Commission,
and Arts Commission members questions, concerns and comments included: Councilmember
McLean inquired about monies owed to the City from the State for the election, and the
expansion of the community garden; Councilmember Weste commented on being excited to
have a balanced budget and extended gratitude to staff for seeking out grants; Councilmember
Boydston inquired about maintenance funds and when the Draft Budget will be available;
Mayor Pro Tem Kellar extended accolades to staff and stated his pleasure that the City is able
to fill a few vacated positions; Commissioner Boone inquired regarding the overlay;
Commissioner Harte commented on the forthcoming annexations and the backdrop for the
Veteran's Historical Plaza; Vice -chair Fall commented on staff efforts obtaining grants and
the completion of the seven annexations; and Commissioner Levison extended thanks to
Council and staff on behalf of residents in Canyon Country for all of the improvements
completed and forthcoming.
Mayor Ferry adjourned the meeting at 6:28 p.m.
