ATTACHMENTS Newhall Roundabout Community Survey Newhall Roundabout Public Art Survey Results APPROVED Newhall Roundabout Public Art Survey One of the priorities for the revitalization of Old Town Newhall identified in the Specific Plan, was to change the character of the area by reconfiguring traffic flow with the construction of a roundabout at the intersection of 5d' Street, Newhall Avenue, and Main Street. The roundabout will not only improve traffic circulation, but will also serve as a southern gateway into Old Town Newhall and the City of Santa Clarita. Within this roundabout, will be a piece of public art that will symbolize Old Town Newhall's heritage. The City Council is seeking your opinion on what type of artwork should be placed in the roundabout. The following are the options identified by the City Council. Please select your favorite: ❑ A depiction of 1920's Western film star William S. Hart or William S. Hart with his horse Fritz ❑ Art piece in another location in Newhall (not in roundabout) ❑ Landscaping ❑ Water feature ❑ Live tree ❑ Do nothing ❑ Other, please explain: 2 Newhall Roundabout Public Art Survey Results Analysis Survey Option Responses "Other" Comments Total Do Nothing 183 6 189 William S.
