CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 4:01 p.m. by Mayor/Chair Marsha McLean
ROLL CALL
All Councilmembers were present.
CLOSED SESSION
Joseph Montes, City Attorney, advised of the need to conduct a Closed Session for the purpose
of holding a:
CONFERENCE WITH PROPERTY NEGOTIATOR
Government Code Section 54956.8
Property Location: One full City block directly across the street from the Old Town
Newhall Library, bounded by Lyons Avenue to the north, Railroad Avenue to the east,
9th Street to the south, and Main Street to the west.
Negotiating Parties: Laemmle Theatre and Serrano Development Group, Inc. /Pacific
Coast Housing Development, LLC.
City's and Successor Agency's Authorized Negotiator: City Manager
Under Negotiation: Price and Terms of Payment
5.41 +/- acres in Canyon Country
Assessor's Parcel Nos. 2844-003-902 & 903, 2844-005-906, 2844-003-009, 2844-003-
004 & 005, 2844-005-016, 2844-005-028 & 029
Negotiating Parties: Los Angeles County Flood Control District, Samuel Kim, Nick
Nishanian, Grazia & Florino Caruso, Richard & Marilyn Salovich, Leo Nardin.
City's Authorized Negotiator: City Manager
Under Negotiation: Price and Terms of Payment
Councilmember Weste recused herself from participating in the City Block item due to the
proximity of her property.
RECESS TO CLOSED SESSION
Mayor/Chair McLean recessed the meeting to Closed Session at 4:02 p.m.
RECONVENE TO OPEN SESSION
Mayor/Chair McLean reconvened the meeting to Open Session at 6:03 p.m.
CITY ATTORNEY ANNOUNCEMENT
City Attorney Montes announced that no action was taken in Closed Session that was required to
be reported. I
ADJOURN
Mayor/Chair McLean adjourned the meeting at 6:03 p.m.
